How do I know if a fence contractor is reputable?
|
|
Check with your local Home Builders Association or the BBB. Are they a fly by night operation? Here today, gone tomorrow? Do they have a permanent office or yard?
Check references. Drive by some of their installed jobs, ask questions.
Check with the fence product manufacturer to confirm their experience with the product they are selling.
Are they a member of the American Fence Association?

Make sure the contractor has the appropriate insurance and Workman's Compensation.

Make sure the contractor has the appropriate insurance and workman's compensation.
- Ask for a copy of the contractor's insurance forms and workman's compensation forms. It doesn't hurt to ask.
- if a worker gets hurt on your property and the company does not have Workman's comp, you can be held liable.

Owasso Fence offers a standard 1-year warranty on labor on most styles. 3-year on SteelWood
But, use common sense. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Always read the fine print on estimate/contract forms

Owasso Fence requires 25% down payment on projects.
Some companies require 50%, but use common sense. We do not recommend paying up front for the fence.

If the pricing seems low and probably too low, see what kind of materials the contractor intends to use. Perhaps, they intend to use sub-standard materials to make it look like you're getting a deal.
Stop by Owasso Fence and we will be very happy to show you our yard and all the materials we intend to install.
